How to mute someone on Snapchat

There are few things more annoying than receiving incessant Snapchats from someone when you’re trying to enjoy some digital peace and quiet. If you have a friend who just won’t stop Snapchattering away, here’s how to mute them:

-Open the Snapchat app and go to the Friends page.
-Find the friend you want to mute in your list of friends, and tap on their name.
-Tap on the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
-Tap on Push Notification under Notifications.
-Select Never from the options for When a Friend Sends Me a Snap.

How to un-mute someone on Snapchat

First, open your Snapchat app and go to your Friends page. Then, find the name of the person you want to un-mute in the list and press and hold on their name. A pop up window will appear giving you the option to uninstall this person or edit their name. Tap “Edit.” The next screen will allow you to change their Display Name and Bitmoji. If you scroll down, you will also see the option to “Un-mute” under Notification Settings. Tap this and then tap “Save.”
